QUICK GUIDE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, INCIDENTS AND FREQUENT PROBLEMS
The starter does not rotate
Check that:
-The batteries are not flat.
-The electrical connection is not poor.
-The starter engine wiring and connections are correct.
-The starter engine/solenoid are not defective.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:
You may need to replace defective parts or check the electrical connection to the engine. Contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
Starter rotates slowly
Check that:
-The batteries are not flat.
-The electrical connection is not poor.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:
You may need to check the electrical connection to the engine.
Contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
The starter works correctly, but the engine does not start
Check that:
-The starter engine/solenoid are not defective.
-The tank is not empty or there is not enough fuel.
-The fuel taps are closed and the tank is not poorly attached.
-The fuel filter is not deficient (it is not too fine or the pre-filter is clogged due to the presence of impurities).
-There is no air in the fuel system.
-No impurities or water in the fuel.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:
You may need to check the electrical connection to the engine.
Make a final check that the fuel circuit is in good condition and, if this has not been sufficient to solve the problem, contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
The engine starts, but then stops
Check that:
-The tank is not empty or there is not enough fuel.
-The fuel filter is not deficient (it is not too fine or the pre-filter is clogged due to the presence of impurities).
-There is no air in the fuel system.
-No impurities or water in the fuel.
-No intake air insufficiency is occurring:
-Because the air filter is clogged.
-Because there are leaks in the air intake circuit.
-Because the compressor is dirty.
-Because the turbocharger is faulty.
-Because the ventilation is poor in the engine compartment.
-Because the arrangement of the set in the room is incorrect.
-There are no other alarms indicated on the control board.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:
You may need to check the electrical connection to the engine.
Make a final check that the fuel circuit is in good condition and, if this has not been sufficient to solve the problem, contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
Engine runs erratically
Check that:
-There is no air in the fuel system.
-No impurities or water in the fuel.
-The rev regulator/actuator is not properly adjusted.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:

The generator set consumes too much fuel
Check that:
-The injection pumps are not defective.
-No intake air insufficiency is occurring:
-Because the air filter is clogged.
-Because there are leaks in the air intake circuit.
-Because the compressor is dirty.
-Because the turbocharger is faulty.
-Because the ventilation is poor in the engine compartment.
-Because the arrangement of the set in the room is incorrect.
-Coolant temperature is not too low.
-There is no excessive exhaust back pressure.
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:

Exhaust gas is black
Check that:
-The injection pumps are not defective.
-No intake air insufficiency is occurring:
-Because the air filter is clogged.

-Because the ventilation is poor in the engine compartment.
-Because the arrangement of the set in the room is incorrect.

Exhaust gas is blue or whitish
Check that:
-Coolant temperature is not too high or too low.
-There is no excessive exhaust back pressure.

The oil pressure is insufficient
Check that:
-Oil (lubricant) level is not insufficient.

The engine gets too hot. The temperature is too high
Check that:
-Coolant level is not too low.
-There is no air in the refrigeration system.
-The circulation pump is not defective.
-The thermostat is working properly (not faulty or defective).
If, after checking all this, the problem persists:

The engine temperature is too low
Check that:
-The thermostat is working properly (not faulty or defective).
If the problem persists after checking the points detailed above, please contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
The load is zero or insufficient
Check that:
-The electrical connection is not poor.
-The alternator drive belt does not slide.
If the problem persists after checking the points detailed above, please contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
The engine does not stop
Check that:
-The electrical connection is not poor.
-The starter engine/solenoid are not defective.
If the problem persists after checking the points detailed above, please contact our After-Sales team to solve the issue as soon as possible.
The voltage is high in vacuum
Check that:
-The engine speed is not excessive.
-The alternator is not failing.
-The voltage meter is not damaged.
-The AVR is not damaged.

The voltage is low in vacuum
Check that:
-The engine speed is not excessive.
-The alternator is not failing.
-The voltage meter is not damaged.
-The AVR is not damaged.

The voltage is low under load
Check that:
-The alternator is not failing.
-The load is not too high.
-The AVR is not damaged.
-The engine speed is not too low.
-The engine does not exhibit unstable behaviour.
